THE BOSTON OPEN is by invitation only.

The Director reserves the right to refuse an entrant without giving any reason.

All fees paid onsite must be in cash.

Eligibility for all events is subject to approval. The Eligibility Consultants will review the full list of players registered in the ABT Advanced & Intermediate Divisions along with the Advanced & Intermediate Jackpots to make recommendations if they deem an attendee to be entering an event below their skill level.

All events at the Boston Open will be played in accordance with the U.S. Backgammon Federation Tournament Rules with the following options:

  • Legal Moves
  • Dice on Checkers

All events at the Boston Open are "Clocks Required”.

Baffle Boxes may be used by either player upon request, but may not be forced upon ones' opponent.

Videotaping in any event is permissible by either player.

The number of places paid in any event is dependent upon the number of entrants and may be adjusted at the Director's discretion.

Please bring your own board and digital clock!!!
